The guides are not legal or billing advice
Our guides are educational. They summarize statutes, regulations, payer rules and published research as of the date shown, and those change. Verify anything you act on with your healthcare counsel and certified coders. We aren't a law firm and don't provide legal, tax or billing advice.
You may read, print, download and share the guides for non-commercial use, unmodified and with attribution to FirstAssistPA.
Placement services
Submitting a form doesn't create a contract or guarantee a placement. Any placement is governed by a separate written agreement between FirstAssistPA and the practice, which sets out the fee (if any), the replacement terms, and for contract roles, the employment arrangement.
- First placement free. We charge no fee for the first PA we place with a practice.
- Replacement guarantee. If a practice isn't happy with a PA we place, for any reason, we will search for a replacement at no cost. The written agreement sets the time window for requesting one.
- Later placements. Fees are agreed in writing before a search begins.
- PAs never pay us a fee.
Practices are responsible for their own hiring decisions, credentialing, practice agreements and supervision, and for verifying a PA's license and qualifications. Contract PAs are placed as W-2 employees, not independent contractors.

Liability
The site and guides are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the site or relying on the guides.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
